Daniel Martinez Lara & Stanley Lau
Daniel Martinez Lara is a 3ds max veteran. Recently he has started working with blender as well. His personal website is Pepeland. He has really wonderful tutorials, for all levels of expertise.
Check out Pepeland for a bunch of video tutorials on modeling, rigging and much more!
__
Stanley Lau, AKA Artgerm is arguably the most popular artist on deviantART. Most of his personal artwork on deviantART features his favourite imaginary muse, Pepper. Once in a while, Artgerm takes some time out to show the process on his paintings stpe by step.
Here are a few examples: 1, 2, 3
There are what can be called, progressing sketches. Looking at one will generally show each important step in the making of that artwork. However, to understand properly how it's done, It's advisable to study as many of these as you can find. I'll be posting more sketches like this in the future. Make sure you collect them all! They make great references.

Hello, Cruel world.
It's a cruel, cruel world of tutorials out there isn't it?
Let's kickstart this blog. I'll get straight to the point. But only after I've rambled a bit.
The reason I've created this blog is because I'm pissed off. I'm pissed off at all those people complaining they can't find any good CG tutorials on the internet. Sometimes when I suggest some website, they say it was too f***ing hard to understand, or too distracting because of the pretty images of the final result. Well, I've had enough of it.
On this blog, I'll be uploading my own tutorials/resources, plus I'll put the links to the BEST tutorials that I have found.
I'll be ranking each tutorial on a difficulty scale of
So that's what this is all about. Without much ado, Here is the first tutorial:
Facial Modeling - Modeling a Head with Polys in 3DSMAX
Body Modeling - Modeling with Meshsmooth
From COMET CARTOONS (http://www.comet-cartoons.com/)
Level: Intermediate
Category: 3D Modelling/Texturing
Michael Comet is a veteran in 3D. Back in the days of 3ds max 3/4, this was the guy we used to look up to. His modelling tutorials are still one of the best, and the way he explains it is very simple. Even now, when I find my models "un-clean" I refer to his old tutorials, and almost every time it helps me find out whats wrong.
Instructions:
Just follow the links to download the tutorials in ZIP format. Extract the ZIP archive into a folder, Then find and open the file named "index.html". The tutorial will then open in a web browser. The tutorial uses 3ds max, but if you follow it properly, you'll be able to use the same process with any other 3d modeling application.
Enjoy!
